About Mastertek

We are a boutique consultancy focused on providing practical advice in relation to organisation design and employee engagement, performance and reward. We believe that putting people first is critical to delivering sustainable business results – and we know how to create the employee engagement levels required to make it happen.

Our team of specialists have a wealth of global experience across each of our service areas.  We’re not accountants, tax advisors, benefits providers or recruitment agencies like many of our peers – we’re HR professionals dedicated to helping you identify the practices that really matter; those that add-value rather than erode it.

Formed in 1999 by our founder Graham Childs, Mastertek’s mission has been to help organisations of all shapes and sizes to ‘make strategy work’.  More than this, Graham sought to establish a flexible and creative work environment where our people have the opportunity to develop innovative yet practical solutions to address our clients’ HR and business issues.

Mastertek’s key philosophy was to help clients align their people practices to business strategy whilst preparing to meet future business challenges – our belief in ‘strategic alignment’ continues to underpin everything that we do.

Our employee-owned firm has maintained its focus for over a decade and seen our consultants partner with some of Australia’s biggest brands, in the most challenging industry contexts, to develop employee performance, reward and engagement strategies that best-fit the organisational context of our clients.

Graham Childs | Founder & Chairman

Graham is the founder and Chairman of Mastertek Pty Ltd.  Prior to joining Mastertek, Graham was, for nine years, the Director – Human Capital Group for Watson Wyatt Worldwide.

Graham has led people management, reward and benefit strategies for many leading companies such as Optus, Sensis, Pegasus Group, Investors Mutual, ANZ, Matrix, Zurich Financial, Schroder Australia, National Hire, and Dymocks.

In addition to his consulting experience, Graham has had extensive human resource, industrial relations and general management experience.  Prior to joining Watson Wyatt in 1990, Graham was General Manager, Human Resources with Wormald International, at that time a leading Australian listed company.

Jamie Anderson | Managing Director & Principal.

As a Civil Servant in the UK, Jamie’s engagements included acting as an advisor to the Cabinet Office working on the pay equality ‘Coherence Agenda’, along with roles at the Lord Chancellor’s Department and Maritime & Coastguard Agency.

Jamie’s corporate experience included global responsibility for reward strategy at top 50 ASX companies such as Oil Search Limited and Aristocrat Technologies before he embarked on a career in consulting with Mastertek.

Consulting to a cross-sector client list including major listed companies in finance, resources and manufacturing as well as in the public sector, Jamie has developed a deep understanding of what works in practice and what doesn’t, particularly in highly pressurised operating environments.

Roz
Rosalyn Reed | Senior Consultant, Reg. Pysch.

Beginning her career in psychological assessment and safety leadership coaching, Rosalyn leads our practice in regard to employee engagement studies and development of related strategies to drive organisational development.

She has successfully assisted clients in the establishment of strategically aligned performance and rewards, in the identification of optimal organisational structures and with leadership development initiatives and holds a First Class Honours in Psychology and a Masters in Applied Organisational Psychology.

Simon
Simon Rudd | Head of Data & Systems

Simon leads the development and implementation of our REMconnect platform and the related remuneration data and job evaluation tools.

With over 15 years remuneration and recruitment experience in both corporate and consulting environments Simon’s blend of spans remuneration strategy, HR data analytics through to technology implementation and process improvement.

Simon holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Bachelor of Arts (BA) as well as post-graduate diploma in translation studies.

Joshua Kidd | Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant, Josh is focused on supporting the delivery of our HR and strategic rewards consulting projects with a specific focus on assisting clients in the use of our job evaluation and market benchmarking tools and databases.

Donelle Sadler | Associate Consultant

As an Associate Consultant, Donelle is focused on supporting the delivery of HR and strategic rewards consulting projects with a specific focus on assisting clients with employee engagement studies and development of related strategies for improvement.
